Jessica Simpson Stumping for Weight Watchers

I read this article about Jessica Simpson being the new spokesperson for Weight Watchers:

Yanno, I think Weight Watchers is a great program but I’m kinda turned off lately with all the celebrities getting on diet plans and helping them rake in millions of dollars. I know that Nutrisystem was a huge fan of the celebrity spokesperson and so was Jenny Craig. Remember the fiasco with Kirstie Ally?

Weight Watchers, in my opinion, has been most reasonable about their celebrity spokespeople but Jessica Simpson JUST had a baby. I don’t know if this is incredibly brilliant on her part or just in bad taste on theirs. All of the news stories in the last few years that have surfaced about Jessica Simpson are mostly about how “fat” she is and her weight issues. I think the girl is gorgeous and I seriously would kill to have her body. She is beautiful. You’d think the way the media portrays her she’s Jabba the Hut being wheeled around on a cart full of Twinkies as naked men sprinkle her with chocolate donuts.

Either way, I’m sticking with my Weight Watchers plan. With or without Jessica Simpson to encourage me.

Chloe! YES! Jessica Simpson is gorgeous and I think she is sexy at any size.
I wish they would use regular people (not celebrities) for their before and after programs because these celebrities already have home gyms, personal chefs, and trainers at their disposal. Yanno?

I hear the new normal in Hollywood is a 00 is slim, a size 2 average and a size 4 is considered chubby. That’s just crazy! No wonder teenage girls have body image issues :( . I admit I have them but I’m not craving a size 4 body.
